At Tennyson Chambers individual members are responsible for the administration of their own practices at the Bar including the agreement and invoicing of their fees and ensuring that they comply with the provisions contained in the Bar Handbook. Members of chambers are supported in this by the modern information technology facilities within chambers. Learn about us here.
The staff page of this site explains how the telephone receptionist and postal services are arranged for Tennyson within the Ocean Village Innovation Centre.
It is expected that most case material will be sent by an attachment to a secure email or delivered directly by courier to chambers (marked with the name of the barrister for whom it is intended). If material is being sent by DX, please let your chosen barrister know in advance. Our DX number is Tennyson Chambers DX2011 Southampton.
When Tennyson reaches a larger size a part time book keeper (but not traditional clerk) may be employed to assist members of chambers to administer their practices. At present administration assistance may be hired by outsourcing as and when required under a confidentiality agreement.
If you are not satisfied with the administration service you have received in connection with your case then please refer to the complaints page of this site which details the methods by which you may make a complaint.
However, if you are interested in our services and wish to learn more about us at Tennyson then please contact us, setting out your query, using the enquiry form, and the book an appointment facility.
