Established in 2015 Tennyson Chambers is a full service chancery and commercial set of barrister’s chambers led by the Head of Chambers Miss Susan Brown.
- We place our clients at the very centre of what we do. We provide a first class service to our clients, and are committed to fearless advocacy.
- We adopt a positive approach to our work, and our proud of our growing chambers.
- We focus on offering the services of advocacy and legal advice in the areas of law set out in our practice areas.
We aim to provide a centre of excellence for chancery and commercial work to serve businesses and commercial solicitors firms and their clients on the UK south coast, London UK, England and Wales, and offshore.
Southampton is a terrific hub for a regional specialist Chancery and Commercial Chambers as it is well served by transport links over land, sea and air, and it is no longer necessary for our chancery and commercial chambers to be physically based in London UK. Modern information technology in the operation of a barrister practice (e.g. digital remote access of library and case law services, paperless working, and, electronic filing of documents in the High Court in London United Kingdom) allows us to be based regionally. This suits the increasing regionalisation of the United Kingdom legal services market (all speeded up by Covid 19), and the creation of the Business and Property Courts including the Business and Property Circuit Courts.
Tennyson Chambers has a traditional model of chambers structure of independent barrister sole practitioners with the headline name of the United Kingdom registered trademark of “Tennyson Chambers” (which is not a corporate body, LLP, or partnership) (“Tennyson”).
Tennyson operates from modern serviced offices, which have a suite of five serviced conference rooms for client conferences and law seminars. The building operates Covid 19 secure measures for the benefit of all occupants and visitors.
Tennyson Chambers welcomes applications from practitioners experienced in the fields of commercial and chancery work.
In growing our membership, we will seek to reflect the diversity of the rich mix of cultures which make up United Kingdom society today and to promote equality within our profession as well as upholding the highest standards of practice in our work.
Please use the barrister’s profiles to assist you in your selection of counsel for your case. Whether you are a solicitor or person seeking to use public access do not hesitate to get in touch if you require a quotation on fees for your case.
