Many of specialist cases upon which our members have been instructed have involved an international element. International clients can obtain advice and representation on English law from our members about all the subject areas of the Business and Property Courts in which we practice and which are listed on this site.
We can work closely with local counsel in foreign proceedings, and can accept instructions directly from international lawyers, working co-counsel, and clients. We are keen to continue to encourage further instructions from overseas jurisdictions where it is sought to gain advice about the law of England and Wales in an international context.
Equally at Tennyson our Counsel are prepared to travel abroad for the purpose of carrying out their work engagements for clients including holding conferences abroad where required, and appearing as advocates in court following call for the case. We especially encourage instructions on English law from the UK overseas territories including those in the Caribbean, Jersey, and Guernsey.
Members of Chambers may be instructed to provide written advice on English Law in our areas of practice so whether you are an international client or organisation who wishes to instruct a barrister directly on public access or whether you are a firm of overseas lawyers please do not hesitate to contact us.
We also offer international mediation services, arbitration and an initial assessment of the merits of a case before proceedings on a case are commenced (early neutral evaluation). We can also act as expert witnesses on English civil law and procedure in foreign proceedings.
