Community and charitable support.

Community support has been provided by Barristers at Tennyson by way of participation in the Chancery Bar Litigants in Person Scheme (“CLIPS”). This community scheme offers pro bono legal advice and representation to litigants in person.

It is run in the Applications Court of the Chancery Division (Court 10) in the High Court in London. The CLIPS scheme is also available at the County Court at Central London.

It is available to litigants in person who are unable to afford their own legal representation.

Barrister members of the Chancery Bar Association run CLIPS in conjunction with the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau.

Barrister volunteers are available on Applications day at Court 10 in the Chancery Division. They are on duty between 10 and 11 am on the day of the hearing itself and then on call until 16:30 pm if a litigant in person needs assistance.

Litigants in person are helped by a regular rota of CLIPS volunteers run on a weekly basis. Please look at the explanatory note about the CLIPS scheme . Further information may be found on our responsibility page of this website.
