Tennyson Chambers wishes to expand by the recruitment of suitably qualified established practitioners, and welcomes applications which meet the application criteria set out on our join us page on this website. Please see our Join us page for further details as to how and where to send your application. Our registered practising address is at Ocean Village Innovation Centre Ocean Way Southampton SO14 3JZ. This building is a two minute walk from the yacht marina with its shops, restaurants and hotels. There are many businesses large and small located in Ocean Village which is a premier part of Southampton. Southampton County Court is a short taxi ride away and the High Court District Registry is in Winchester which is a 15 minute journey from Southampton Central Railway Station.

There are conference facilities at Ocean Village Innovation Centre. Some five conference rooms in all which are fully serviced. These include a conference room large enough to hold 48 people for seminars. So plenty of accommodation to see clients in person. Photocopying facilities are available in the centre as well as a coffee lounge subject to the terms of Oxford Innovation Limited.

Senior Circuit Representative of Lincoln’s Inn

We are pleased to announce that our Head of Chambers, Miss Susan Brown, has been appointed by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn as their Senior Circuit Representative for the Western Circuit for a 3 year term commencing on 1st January 2024.  Members of Lincoln’s Inn on the Western Circuit are welcome to contact her by e mail with ideas for dinners and membership events which they would like to see held on the Western Circuit for Lincoln’s Inn members.

Evictions – both commercial and residential.

The evictions ban imposed by the UK government on residential property in England which was extended to 31st May 2021 and has now been extended to 30th September 2021 by the The Coronavirus Act 2020 (Residential Tenancies: Protection from Eviction) (Amendment) (England) (No. 2) Regulations 2021. The UK government ban on commercial property evictions in England is still in place until 30th June 2021 and it remains to be seen whether this ban will be extended or not by the UK government.
